Overall, Armenia as a destination is unique with a lot of depth in history
when I say indeed it is a jewel, a diamond in the rough!
and culture - its known as the “open air museum” - of course I have no bias
Armenia is relatively easy to get around - the best mode of public transport is by minibus (known as Marshurtka) which is relatively inexpensive but also a modest mode of transport. It is a safe country to travel around too.
Armenian and Russian are the preferred languages (especially when you get out of town) but the younger people these days can speak English - but people are relatively hospitable and friendly so help is always provided.
