Hostel Guests

Thank you vey much for your kindness. Envoy is a very good place to stay: friendly with a lot of young people. See you soon. A special thank you for all girls who work here. Bauhaw

It's really nice time here with a very professional staff. Thanks from my heart to all of you. Joses, Malta

Was really great staying here! Best and most helpful, friendly and efficient reception and staff I have long come across while travelling and I travel a lot. Lorian, Austria

That is without any doubts the best hostel I have ever been. The atmosphere is so peaceful as the team is available, very friendly and professional. The possibility to take some Armenian Course is very welcome. The tours allow people travelling by themselves to visit beautiful sites far away from Yerevan and hard to reach without a car. Much can be done from Yerevan anyway. Thank you for these beautiful moments and the support you gave me "to keep me on foot between two" (authorized expression). Some will understand. Francois, France

We really enjoy our stay in Armenia and in Envoy Hostel. You made our time here even better by being so helpful. On the top of that the hostel is very comfortable and friendly. We may come back. Indeed the night we arrived we had not booked any beds and even though the hostel was full for the night, the staff at Envoy arranged us a place to stay in the basement. Those people will make sure you can stay somewhere. We love this place and YES, if we find ourselves in Armenia again we know where to stay. Thank you for everything. Claire & Joris, France/ Netherlands

I greatly enjoyed your place. Staying at Envoy was more than I expected: great location, great staff, great atmosphere. Thank you for your hospitality, and for being such a great ambassador of this great country of yours. By Alexandre, Switzerland

Thank you guys and girls for your kindness and help. It's a pleasure to be here. Hope to see you again. By Ali, Iran

We spent here 3 days and are really greatfull to the staff because without their helpwe'd be lost in mountains or depressed back home... :) Thanks and looking forward to the next meeting. Thank you Envoy Team! By Ctibor & Marie, Czech Republic

I loved the hostel. I was only going to stay for 1-night but after being greeted by Anahit and looking around, I knew I had to stay for longer. I staying for 4 nights and took two tours. I took the Essential Armenia and Enlinking Caucasus (from Yerevan to Tbilisi) and thought both were wonderful! I recommend then to everyone. Breakfast was always nice. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. Location was wonderful. The free internet computers were great. Go to Armenia and stay at Envoy! From USA, Male 31-40, Rated 100% on HW

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. Secure, spotlessly clean, never had to queue for bathroom in a whole week, nice and helpful staff, liked the kitchen, free internet, common room, really, there was no single bad thing about it, except, perhaps the fact that the rooms generally don't have a window and it lacks some character. Otherwise, perfect. I loved the tours as well. From Romania, Female 25-31, Rates 96% on HW

Clean, central hostel with helpful staff. Recommended. From Anonymous, Rated 100% on HW

Like an oasis in the dessert, I never expected a 5 star hostel like this in Armenia - its something your more likely to see in Western Europe or Australia, a hostel with all the fine details. Super clean, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, great sheets, air con, lockers, big common area and kitchen, breakfast, lots of bathrooms & showers, 3 desktop computers and WiFi, excellent location, and great friendly knowledgeable staff! I was really really impressed, and definitely recommend staying here. From Australia, Male 25-30, Rated 96% on HW

This is the best hostel I've ever stayed. Especially they have free walking tours and day tours at affordable prices which make life so easy. Their kitchen and lounge are so cool and lockers in rooms are spacey. Great place to meet other people too! From South Korea, Female 25-30, Rated 100% on HW

We greatly enjoyed visiting your beautiful country and the hostel was excellent!! Thank you!! From USA, Female 41+, Rated 100% on HW

“A home from home”

I stayed at Envoy with a group of 5 other young women from the UK. We were taking part in a project with the Armenian Girl Guides (NUGGGS) and Envoy was our base during the project.

It was most definitely the best hostel I have ever stayed at, and better than some cheap motels and hotels. The hostel was very clean and the facilities were excellent, with a good communal area, air con, nice warm showers, an iron you can borrow, board games, nintendo wii etc. The breakfast is simple but tasty and it makes a good start to the day.

The staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and always willing to help. The hostel is safe and secure and there are organised walks, activities and excursions. The local SAS supermarket is open 24hrs which is very convenient, and they sell everything you could want including imported food goods from France, the USA, Italy etc so you needn't miss out on home comforts!

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting Armenia - you will be sure of a comfortable and enjoyable stay!

“Super Fun, Super Friendly!”

I was an English teacher in Georgia and decided to take one last trip before returning home! Considering most of my friends had already left I was solo! That almost made me not want to go. But I'm so glad I did! I took the Tbilisi-Yerevan Enlinking the Caucuses tour to get over and it was a blast! I ended up being the only one but the tour guide, Marine, was so much fun! It was a great way to arrive at Envoy in style!

While at Envoy I took tours almost daily! I had a short time in the country and I wanted to see the most I could see! The tours were so much fun! The guides were friendly and full of interesting information about the sites we were seeing! I really enjoyed them.

I worried about going to the country solo, uncertain of who I'd hang out with in my off time. Turns out, I didn't need to worry! Everyone at Envoy was incredibly nice and I found a few other guests to hang out with! I went out every night. If you want to go out, there's a great bar call Calamet within walking distance. If you want to wander around the city, their night tour is beautiful! If you want to stay in, I found no one who would cause you any trouble! They even have activities at the hostel nightly! That and being within walking distance of a 24 hour supermarket? You can't lose!

If you're going to Yerevan I HIGHLY recommend you stay at Envoy! I've already told all my friends about it!

Room Tip: Any and all of the rooms are amazing! Just decide what you want and ask! They're super helpful!

“I Loved the Staff!”

Hi all,
I was at Envoy for only one night, yet I loved all staff members - they were all extremely nice and helpful!
Guess this is what gives a stay away from home a "I'm staying with friends" feeling.
Thank you Anahit & Karen!

“Good and Professional”

I stayed at the envoy for a couple of night and did some tours with them. the hostel is clean, safe and reasonably priced for yerevan. the facilities are good and there is a small supermarket and an atm machine just around the corner. the tours are done well with good guides and drivers. breakfast is a bit simple but i guess nobody expect any delicacys from a hostel breakfast, its a few slices of bread with some cheese, butter and jam plus coffee or tea...

Hi Sebasitan

Thanks for your review and feedback. Just a quick note to say that we have since added eggs and yoghurt to our breakfast - they say breakfast is the most important meal of the day - so now our guests will have an even better start to their day :)

Hope to see you in Yerevan again one day

“Absolutely Amazing Staff Make this THE Place to stay in Armenia”
Stayed here for a few days in April and it gets full marks for cleanliness, location and facilities but it's the people who work at Envoy that make it so special. Being welcomed with a smile each and every time and patiently answering questions that I'm sure they've been asked a thousand times without making it seem like a chore. The tours are absolutely essential and one of the best reasons for staying here. Gevorg and Maria are incredibly good company and so knowledgeable it feels like you're with friends for the day showing you the country which they are so justifiably proud of. Even if you're not staying at Envoy I'd highly recommend booking one of the many tours on offer. Chickenkiev, Ireland

Liked: very good location, nice staff

Disliked: most rooms have only a/c and no windows

Rated 85.7% by Customer

Liked: Very clean, practically sterile! Good breakfast. Comfortable beds & showers. Air-conditioning.

Disliked: No windows in some of the dorms but that's minor issue really. :)

Liked: Envoy Hostel has launched a day tour company called Envoy Tours. They take you out of Yerevan to places of interest. The lunches on the tour are home cooked Armenian food and delicious! The tour guide Marina is funny, engaging and super-knowledgeable. You get to see and do so much more on the tours than you could by yourself.

Disliked: The stinky trainers of someone else in the Dorm! (Not Envoy's fault of course)
